Recently, 𝑹&𝑹 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔 launched an innovative Coaching concept based on real life client cases. The objective is to support those leaders or sales advisors recent to the profession (who may require reinforcement of best practices learned on basic training courses), but in particular senior individuals looking to take their already elevated standards to the next level, or refresh techniques acquired some years before which may need reviewing.
The reaction from some client companies was “𝒏𝒐 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅, 𝒘𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕”, and that of some individuals was “𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒇 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅” ... the best ones all employ coaches! For example, how many sports stars, well-known performer, public figures, etc do you know who made it to the top by themselves ?
Let’s reflect on the coaching role and how it can help individuals and teams:
✔️ Enhance an experienced professional with a refreshed or new skill
✔️ Act as a neutral “Sparring Partner” to give objective perspectives unconditional on company targets/demands
✔️ Support new talent development with knowledge transfer for new skills
✔️ Prepare professionals for career advancement
✔️ Work with those who prefer the focused support of a coach to “public” training sessions
Coaching aims at improving performance, and just as with top sports stars and musicians, there need to be clear objectives, detailed action plans and identifiable checkpoints along the way. The coach’s role is to provide a structured approach and direct the coachee’s energy to achieve the desired success by their own efforts.
